MAURY Grande Reserve 6 Years Soil type Black schist slopes and gently sloping clay/chalk terraces Grape varieties Exclusively 30-50 years old grenaches noirs Wine Making Grapes are selected and hand picked in the vineyard, sorted on a sorting table, de-stemmed, and fermented with skins using the long maceration method. They are the pressed with a Vaslin hydralic press in manual mode. Juices are drawn of and wine blended. Maturing The unfiltered and non-clarified wine is kept for 24 months in barrels and oak vats in air conditioned cellars; the aged in glass demi-johns in the open air for one year. Matured in 350 litres oak barrels for three more years. |

Complexe taste, potent and sweet; walnut shells, prunes, crystallised orange and vanilla. Typically harmonius, full bodied wine with good tannins and a long finish Serve at 15 dc with deserts: Apple Pie, Almonds, Crystallised Oranges,Cocoa or at the end of a meal as digestif.
