Côtes du Roussillon Villages - Terre Brune 2005 Soil type Selected vineyards with black and brown schists. Grape Varieties Grenache 70%, Syrah, Carignan. Wine Making Selection of grapes from the vineyard, hand picked, sorted on a sorting table, de-stemmed, then put on wood barrels, some of them with a blend of different grapes, some with only one grape sort, long maceration Maturing Matured in Oak barrels in air-conditioned cellars for 14 months. Botteld unfiltered Terre brune On the black and brown terroirs of Schistes in Maury, the grenache gets an exceptionnal expression, while it creates wines in one time rich, powerful and elegant. A touch of the old Carignan suits the Tannin structure, the Syrah completes the aroma palette, while garding the characteristics of the grenache. |
Comments from the Æenologue Intense violet color with black tints, powerful aroma of the Mediterranen Garrigue also blending with notes of spices, vanille, toast, and very matured red fruits. In the mouth, the attack is frank, notes of red fruits sourrounded by liquorice, vanille and grill. The Tannins strong and well founded. A wine from the south opulent and aftersought. With leg of Lamb, Game, Beef or roasted Duck breast. Back to SELECTION |
