 Pouderoux

La Mouriane
It is the oldest vineyard of the Domaine on Maury territory. Planted in terraces on a chalky-clay side, it profits from an exposition North-East in the shade of a rock, which protects from the strong sommer heat. Completely cultivated and planted by hand of the tacherons 100 years ago, on a surface of two hectares. The Grenaches noirs here produces a wine of an exceptional concentration and and freshness. It finalizes normally the harvest, as it, because of its age, is one of the latest matured of the Domaine.

The Wine
Love at first sight in the "Revue du Vin de France" in 2001.
The year 2003 confirms the exceptional quality of the "micro climate".
Very rich wine, it blends concentration of fruit and finesse and tannins. Refined and woody, the taste is ample, and grill, …fine peppers, Lovely lenght, finally sweet ….Surely a bottle to be kept.
